Engraved Bricks

At the heart of the memorial are over 450 engraved bricks, each bearing the name of a veteran who served our country. These bricks represent both living and deceased veterans and are a powerful reminder of the personal stories behind the collective sacrifice.

Bricks continue to be available for sponsorship, allowing families and individuals from anywhere in the country to honor loved ones through this enduring tribute.

Bronze Plaques

Throughout the Veterans Monument, bronze plaques serve as permanent reminders of gratitude and remembrance. These plaques can be found mounted on walls, benches, flagpoles, planters, and pedestals, each carrying a story of honor.

Some plaques are dedicated directly to veterans, ensuring their names and sacrifices are etched into history. Others recognize the generosity of sponsors and community members who contributed to making the monument possible. Together, they form a network of tributes that celebrate both service and support.

Bronze plaques are known for their timeless appearance and durability, which makes them a fitting choice for a memorial of this significance. Their presence ensures that the names will remain a visible part of the monument for generations to come.

Honoring Marie Magnin

A dedicated bronze plaque on a pedestal honors Marie Magnin, the originator of the Oconto Falls Veterans Monument project. Marie's vision and determination were the driving forces behind the creation of the memorial.

She worked tirelessly to ensure that her husband, Orrie "Chub" Magnin, and all veterans would be remembered for their service and sacrifices. With the support of American Legion Post 302, the Legion Auxillary, and many community partners, Marie's dream became a reality. Though she passed in 2019, the monument stands as a lasting legacy of her commitment to honoring veterans.
