Etching FAQs

Have a question about your specific project? Contact our team or visit us at 980 Velp Ave. in Green Bay.

What is sand etching?

A masked design guides an abrasive process that removes part of the surface. The resulting design often has a frosted appearance. The material and artwork determine the practical level of detail.

Is etching the same as laser engraving?

They are different processes. Global offers sand etching as well as laser engraving; the material, finish and design help determine which process makes sense.

Can an etched design include color?

Color fill may be an option for suitable etched pieces. Ask us to review the product and desired appearance before choosing a color treatment.

Can you etch a bottle or glass I bring in?

We can evaluate customer-supplied pieces. Send a photo, dimensions and any material details first, especially for sentimental or irreplaceable items.

What information helps with a brick or memorial project?

Share the proposed material, quantity, location, wording and deadline. If names or dedications vary, include a checked list and any space limits for each entry.
